NVidia have announced a graphics processor designed for handhelds and mobile phones. It was just under a year ago I saw pictures of prototypes of graphics processors running Quake III, so I'm looking forward to seeing what this thing can do. The processor will handle graphics equivalent to that of the first Playstation, and will also handle encoding/decoding of some of the common video formats.
